What To Expect
Upon entering the DiBella Chiropractic Center, our friendly staff will assist you in filling out the initial paperwork.
The staff will make copies of any insurance information you have so we can verify your benefits.
Consultation
After your paperwork is complete, you will meet with the doctor. The doctor will read over your forms and then ask you many questions about your current health condition. This information will help the doctors determine if they feel you could benefit from chiropractic care.
Exam
Your examination includes a complete orthopedic, neurological and chiropractic examination. The orthopedic tests will reproduce the pain and tell us about the joints of the spine, the neurological tests will tell us if the nerves are damaged, and the chiropractic tests will tell us if chiropractic can help you.
Most patients report that the examination is one of the most thorough exams they have ever been through.
X-Rays
Based upon your exam findings, the doctor may feel that x-rays are needed and they will be performed at this time. The doctor may perform a full series of x-rays or a limited series based upon your exam findings.
Report of Findings
This report is done on the initial visit or the next following visit. This is where the doctor will explain your problem and what can be done to help. A treatment program will be outlined and explained. At this time, the doctor or staff will explain how insurance will cover your visit and on different payment plans that are available for patients without insurance.
Most health insurance, workers' compensation and auto accident insurance is accepted for our services. Our staff will gladly submit your insurance claims for you and answer any questions you may have regarding payment. Many financial policies are available for those individuals who don't have insurance.

Therapy
Our office provides state-of-the-art therapy equipment, including hot & cold therapy, ultra sound, electrical muscle stimulation and intersegmental traction. These therapies all have different therapeutic benefits that will aid in your recovery.
Adjustments
The adjustment is the most beneficial treatment you will receive in our office. The chiropractic adjustment is when the chiropractor will restore the normal motion and positioning to the spine.
Your doctor will use carefully directed and controlled pressure to return malfunctioning spinal bones to their proper motion and position, reducing nerve interference.
The adjustment is a quick, painless maneuver that every patient receives. We have a wide variety of patients at our office, from infants to the elderly, and all of our treatments are tailored around each individual patient.
In fact, chiropractic adjustments are safer than back surgery, muscle relaxers and even aspirin!
Be sure to check out our Common Conditions page for a list of health conditions that may suggest chiropractic care.
How Long Will I Need Chiropractic Care?
Spinal problems neglected since early childhood may require ongoing supportive care for optimum spinal function. These long standing problems are often associated with muscle weakness, soft tissue damage and degenerative changes to the spine.
Most patients find that periodic checkups help keep them in tip-top shape. Those who are active, have stressful jobs, or want to be their very best, find that a schedule of preventive care is helpful in the maintenance of good health.
Some patients seek chiropractic care only when their ache or pain becomes unbearable. While this style of "crisis management" is usually more costly and time-consuming, our office stands ready to help all patients, regardless of their health goal.
